See what my client Omar has to say about the program:
What is it?
A 3 phase ankle mobility program designed to increase ankle dorsiflexion, unlock the foot, and reduce anterior impingement in the front of the ankle. Everyone’s starting point may be different based on your individual assessment, however the base plan is as follows:
Phase 1: Restore Plantarflexion: This may seem counter intuitive since the goal is improved dorsiflexion, but it is emphasized in the first phase for a reason! If your ankle can’t go the opposite way, then there may not be space in the front of the ankle for the shin to travel forward over top of the foot.
Phase 2: Restore Rotation: the ability for the calcaneus and midfoot to both evert and invert relative to each other sets up the necessary foot shape to allow for the ankle joint to express max dorsiflexion. When the heel bone can’t move, the front of the ankle may reach an early impingement when moving into max knee over toe range.
Phase 3: Build Dorsiflexion:In the final phase we really get specific! The previous phases set up the foot and ankle to receive the maximum gains the direct dorsiflexion work in this phase with minimal impingement. In this phase we work big toe extension and eccentric calf strength to really expand dorsiflexion range into new territories
Each phase lasts six weeks.
Who is the program for?
Weightlifters, movement enthusiasts, athletes, coaches, Physical Therapists, and anyone dealing with general ankle/foot mobility restrictions.
What do you get?
Lifetime access to a 30 page PDF with over 30 in depth videos, tutorials, step by step programming with progressions/ regressions, and email support. The program will be available for you to use anytime and anywhere.
*Though this is an 18-week programming structure, everyone is different and therefore will require more or less time to see the results they need. You should see proper gains within 18 weeks but repeating the program over again once or twice will ensure you achieve superior results. You may even learn exercises that just feel so good you keep them in your routine year around!
