Who Am I?

Dr. Garrett “G-Money” Kuljian DPT PT CSCS

Forever a Student. Strength Through Movement. The Supple Dragon.

My journey started through athletics as a kid. After growing up being a multi- sport athlete, I ended up playing soccer in college at Arcadia University where I received my bachelors degree in Human Biology. Throughout my time here I became obsessed with human performance and most importantly how the body adapts to the physical demands placed on it to build a stronger, more mobile and resilient body. I went on to receive my doctorate in Physical Therapy at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, CA.

However, what I pride myself most in is not my academic feats and all the information I absorbed in a classroom or textbooks.

It is the work I have put in to research my own body outside of any classroom setting and practice what I preach. One of the biggest problems in Health Care at the moment is the saturation of medical professionals just going through the motions and not “walking the walk” so to speak…

How many of you have been told nutrition advice by an overweight doctor, or have been instructed to strengthen a certain body part by a PT who can hardly touch half way down their shins and suffers from chronic back pain themselves?

The truth is I have been told by doctors and respected health care practitioners that I’d never be able to do what I love based on how wrecked my body was from my athletic career. With severe hip impingement, a torn labrum on both hips, “abnormal” bone morphology, chronic shoulder pain, and constant low back pain, these doctors only advice was surgery or just stop doing the things I love. Since that day I went down a rabbit hole trying to fix myself by reaching out to the best practitioners in the world and learning their ways of strength training and unconventional mobility/ flexibility practices you won’t see in any traditional physical therapy clinic. I attended multiple international workshops and seminars looking for the best information out there.

I was able to build the ability to squat ass to grass pain free and am now working toward advanced mobility goals like the splits. And NO SURGERY NEEDED!

I guess it’s not these doctors faults. Did they live life through a movement perspective like I did? Definitely not, so why should they understand my symptoms and where I’m coming from…

My mission is to bridge the gap between the performance/fitness world and health care with the goal in mind to help myself and others become stronger, pain free, healthier, and HARDER TO KILL. Most importantly, I’ll be walking the walk along side you and will continue to sharpen my craft day by day. After all, we only have one body so it only makes sense to explore its fullest potential.

So if you’re not waking up each day feeling like you’re ready for… ANYTHING, then get in touch Immediately and let’s change that.
